Cooking Info

Thank you for purchasing our meats. We’re sure that you’ll enjoy making delicious meals with them as much as we do! Please remember that these are fresh, hand made and packaged products. No two will ever be the same, much like two loaves of bread bought in a bakery will never have quite the same shape, but rest assured that each one receives the same care and attention nonetheless!

Our products are all pre-cooked and ready to eat, so preparing them is just a matter of quickly heating them up in a way that will make them even more delicious!

Steaks, burgers, lorne style sausage:

1. Heat up a splash of oil with some water in a pan.

2. Add your burger, steak (sliced up into strips, chunks, or whole) or lorne slice to the pan. You could also add BBQ sauce or additional seasoning at this stage.

3. Sizzle for 3-4 minutes each side, covered (if you can).

Add more oil for crispier results, or more water for a softer meat.

Smoky flavour rashers:

1. Heat up a splash of oil or vegan butter with some water in a pan.

2. Add your rashers to the pan.

3. Sizzle for 2 minutes each side, covered (if you can). Make sure the pan never goes dry by adding a little water or oil as the rashers sizzle.

Add more oil for crispier results, or more water for a softer meat.

Pepperoni style slices:

1. Add as you normally would add any other topping to your pizza.

2. Alternatively, cook just like the rashers and add to a spicy sub roll!

Pastrami style slices:

We advise adding these straight to your sandwich or dish without any additional cooking!

1. Prep your veggies, sides and sauces in advance.

2. Remove the roast from the vacuum pack and remove the netting.

3. Slice the Roast and add to a non-stick pan with some olive oil and an inch of broth or water. Add a spring offers rosemary or thyme, and a few garlic cloves for extra flavour (optional).

4. Cover and bring to the boil. Simmer the roast for about 15 minutes, turning half-way, until piping hot all the way through. Uncover and reduce the remaining liquid to a sauce.

Serve smothered in gravy or your favourite sauce, beside to your roasted veggies and a drink!

Simply cook the Roast at 180C in a tightly covered baking dish in the oven with about an inch of broth to lock the moisture in - for about 20 minutes. You could also wrap it in puff pastry and make a wellington.

*Never leave the roast uncovered in the oven as it will result in a tough/dry outer layer.
