£4.60Seggiano pasta is made using premium, high density, 100% Tuscan organic durum wheat, grown in the untouched Orcia Valley of southern Tuscany. It's slow-dried at a low temperature, for fantastic firm consistency and excellent flavour.
Their pasta is bronze drawn, giving it a more porous, matte texture that binds flawlessly to sauces. Toscani, or Tuscans, are sometimes called gigli, or lilies, which they roughly resemble. Their frills are great for holding chunky sauces, like our 'Nduja Style Spread.
In 1985, David and Peri met at Roma Ciampino Airport, where they discovered a shared passion for holistic wellbeing, sustainable agriculture, and Italian food. Several years later, they introduced a small batch of premium Lunaio Extra Virgin Olive Oil, produced on their Southern Tuscan farm. Their journey led them to search the country for other specialty producers who also shared their enthusiasm for genuine, artisanal Italian food.
Every single product in their range comes from specialized, innovative producers who prioritize higher quality ingredients and production methods. They take pride in offering what they believe to be the most delicious and authentic selection of Italian food available in the market.
Over the span of 30 years and counting, they continue to source from artisan pioneers across Italy, ensuring that each item they offer is crafted with care and features simple, clean ingredients.
Ingredients: Organically grown Tuscan durum wheat semolina.
Unfortunately the most traditional and authentic Italian Pastifici handle eggs for some of their recipes, therefore they specified to mention that this Pasta may contain traces of egg, soya and barley.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
